Kuroda Bushi

Kuroda Bushi is a song famous for its lyrics that goes, "Drink, drink sake! If you drink, you'll win this, the best spear in all Japan. If you drink enough to win it, you're a true Kuroda samurai." This Kuroda Bushi figure is a doll of Tahei Bori, the samurai who is the model of this story.

This is a typical Kuroda Bushi figure, holding a spear in one hand and a large sake cup in the other. A bronze statue of Kuroda Bushi also exists in front of Japan Railways Hakata Station.
