A traditional double-tiered lunchbox that looks great, smells great and fits modern lifestyles perfectly.

Ideal for those who love the simple, elegant and practical design, MAGEWAPPA is a traditional craft that has been made for over 400 years in Japan. Displaying the straight grain and light yet rich color for which it is famous, the lunchbox is created from thin strips of 100+-year-old Akita cedar (wood with knots or even slight discoloration is not used). During the production process (each one takes a month to craft by hand), the strips are boiled, bent and finally secured with cherry blossom bark.

As MAGEWAPPA has barely any topcoat, it cannot be left in water for long periods. However, while the timber's faint aroma complements many kinds of food, it is lightweight, antibacterial and absorbs moisture (helping preserve lunch freshness). When empty the smaller box is stored in the larger one - A lovely gift for yourself, friends, colleagues, and family.
