能作 - 高岡に受け継がれ、根付く鋳造技術

能作は大正5年(1916)、富山県高岡市に400年伝わる鋳造技術を用いて仏具製造を開始しました。鋳造とは、溶かした金属を型に流し込み、冷やして目的の形状にする製造方法をいいます。金属を流し込む型を鋳型(いがた)、その型から取り出してできた金属製品は鋳物(いもの)。能作は、素材特性を最大限に引き出すべく様々な鋳造方法・加工技術を用いることで、鋳物の可能性を拡げ続けています。

創業当時は仏具、茶道具、花器を中心としたメーカーでしたが、近年ではテーブルウェアやインテリア雑貨、照明器具や建築金物など、幅広い製品を手掛けています。風鈴やテーブルウェアに見られる独特の凛とした佇まいは、高度な鋳造技術や丁寧な仕上げ加工によるもので、国内外問わず高い評価を受けています。
