Started as a dependent business of one of the biggest and oldest packaging maker / wholesale merchant company, WASARA Co., Ltd has established its business in 2008 in Tokyo, Japan. Its brand and the product line, same name with the company, have been developed for the single-use paper tableware, which is clearly distinctive from any other disposable tableware in the world.
WASARA donates part of the profits from sales to Eco Future Found (http://www.eco-future.net/ ), the NGO working for the environmental education in the various places in the world.

Shinichiro Ogata

Creative Director

With his beginnings in the interior design eld, Ogata started his own design firm and laboratory, IMPLICITY, in 1998 with the goal of creating a new contemporary Japanese culture. The proprietor and the genius behind HIGASHI-YAMA Tokyo, a new style of Japanese dining, and HIGASHIYA, a tea and confections brand, his creativity is behind everything from the menu to interior, the furniture to the tableware, and of course the food. Since then, he has opened several restaurants including the private salon YAKUMO-SARYO, and has been active in various interior design projects, for the hospitality and restaurant industries. He is a designer / creative director of WASARA since 2006.
