The sailing canvas was one of the most important materials in the Edo Period to realize stronger and larger sails for freight sailboats when maritime freights were the major part of the logistics. “MATSUEMON-HO” was invented as the first Japanese canvas fabric to build larger cargo sailboats with its durable and lightweight fabric characteristics.

“MATSUEMON-HO” canvas material is unparalleled in the thickness and durability of other canvas fabrics. It is extremely heavy threads and a unique weave pattern brings out a unique texture to this sling bag. PVC coated surface is resistant to water, dirt, and abrasion and also provides additional classy gloss to its outer appearance.

The inside of the bag is deceptively roomy and perfect for hauling everything from bottled water and A5 notebook to small gears and toiletries. The padded back panel made of a mesh material provides good air-permeability to reduce unpleasant sweat moisture when you carry it for long hours.
